The Germans retreat before us – or the Russians in this case.
My attacks on the city are repulsed.
I do reduce their fortifications by one layer though!
I push around the city.
I advance easily along a wide front.
Their Panzer divisions are finally toothless.
I push along the whole front.
Some units are straight up surrendering.
Others just shatter.
Losses are high on both sides.
The assaults on Berlin Continue. Their fortifications fall.

Northern Berlin falls.
I clear some space – I need to be able to move troops around easily. I then make an attack with a single stack of 17AV – mainly to see if I can weaken their forces.
To my complete surprise, the Germans retreat, Berlin is captured and victory is mine.
Fuck you game. You cheated!
