The mud still holds sway.
So we only see a smattering of attacks.
This is the only successful one.
We grind forward.
The enemy are weak.
The length of their weak lines is increasing – but the mud slows us.
These guys shatter, which is a good sign.
There is no breakthrough, but movement.
Here we get a few more kilometres as there is a gap in their line.
I feel like I'm threatening Prague now.
They took more losses than we did – a rarity in this war.
The Germans continue their counter attack.
Here they find a narrow corridor of solid ground.
So here they bring the tanks.
Hundreds of them.
Maybe even thousands.
Another patch in the north sees the same.
This war seems destined to drag on and on.
I have no way of defeating their Panzer units.
Of course, there has to be at least one attack at Poznan.
We have to drive forward.
Target the weak spots.
Try and take out as many tanks as possible.
Grind a few more kilometres closer to Berlin.
There are the occasional weak spot. Places we can make a bit more of an advance.
It doesn't seem to matter how many tanks I blow up.
There will be more.
But for now we move forward in small steps.
Losses are lower than they have been, and the Germans once more than we do.
And we are finally moving forwards.
