The latest wave of counter attacks begins.
They start near Breslau. Over three hundred tanks are used in this assault.
We see more pushes forward.
They have massed all their heavy tank units here, and hit hard.
They probe my northern line, but the troops hold well.
They then turn their attention to the Poznan front.
This is a heavy loss of tanks.
The weakened troops here give ground.
They begin to drive on the city.
Hitler must have ordered it retaken.
It looks like they have a chance!
Once again the Germans have retreated, leaving weakened units on the front line.
So once again, we will attack.
They have excess manpower, so let's just hope they are running out of weapons to replace their losses.
This is a nice hit on one of their tank units.
Grinding them down is our only option.
More of their units are routing, which is good.
I make a good advance here, I expect the Panzer swarm to come south and stop me.
That or they will retreat another hundred kilometers.
Every time I hurt a Panzer division, I smile.
The enemy in Budapest continue to be stubborn.
This is a good number of tank kills, but the ratio of killed to wounded shows how brutal the fighting is on the front – our men are not surrendering, but rather dying in their trenches or on the assualt.
It's movement at least.
